Visitor Policy

Interview with Todd

JM: How often could you receive visitors?
Todd: once a week you had visitation and you were in these little booths with glass between you and the visitor and you had to talk to them through a telephone type set up

JM: Was the check-in process lengthy for those who came to see you?
Todd: yes they had to be there 30 minutes before and had only a certain day they could call and set up for a visit

JM: What was the visiting environment like?
Todd: it was terrible your always glad to see family but just something about having glass separating you from them was a little upsetting and then you only had 30 minutes to visit them so really you dont have much time to talk \to them

does the pastor of my church have to be on my son list in order for him to go and visit him

I personally think a minister should be able to visit an inmate just like a lawyer. These offenders need spiritual guidance. They get hammered from every angle and that doesn't help them. It only applies more stress.

I went for visitation this past Sunday and we were all in one big room with two tables between us. I would have preferred the glass and a privet booth. I could hear everyone around us so I know they could hear us. No privacy at all.

You must've had visitation at the Mobile Co. barracks, the visitation at the jail itself us with the glass partitions and telephone set up, whereas the barracks have 2 tables measuring about 6 ft from end to end with offender on one side and visitor on the other
